The votes are in, our farm has a name. Plus, our first snowfall!

Besides asking you all here to give your vote on our farm's name, I also posted over at the Homesteading Today message boards. All combined here are how the votes added up:

Family Roots Farm   19 votes  (I'll admit that this was my personal favorite all along)

Folk Roots Farm 9

Round Cow Farm 29

Fat Sheep Farm 7

Friendly Calf Farm 2

Other suggestions that were given were 3 votes for Rootsong (my online username & also the name of our homeschool- my favorite name ever but it's not my dear husband's cup of tea) Farm, Roots Farm, Peaceful Acres, Fat Calf, and This Blessed Farm.
:)

That was all really fun. Thanks for adding your votes & ideas!

Our farm is officially named Round Cow Farm. And here is our round cow:

RoundCowFarm
LOL!

Not really much resemblance to our REAL round cow:

It's not always easy to get a picture of Gertie because she comes up to sniff my camera. Hahaha.

It's gotten chilly here in north Idaho!

Good weather for staying in & baking bread.

We had our first snowfall. Our kitty's prints:

All bundled up:

It was a light snow. But that didn't stop the kids from playing in it for hours...

... or my 13 year old son from building a hilarious snowman!

This was the snow we experienced 2 nights ago. The snow was flying straight to the right in the icy winds when I snapped this picture. It was crazy looking! At least it was for me who's never lived in area that really gets snow. About 3 inches fell but was melted by morning.

Bundled baby! Have I mentioned how much I'm loving the pink clothing lately?? ;) It's so fun. We went over & had dinner with some new friends the other night, so I had an excuse to dress her in her fabulous fuzzy pink coat. Teehee.

For my next post- baby smiles! :) I finally managed to capture some on camera.

Milking time!

Beautiful, wonderful amazing!!!! Can I come live with you??! I'd rather be miliing a cow than change three little one's diapers ;) It looks so awesome there! Snow!!!!!!!!!! I miss snow! In MN where we used to live we usually got about 3-4ft at a time, here in OH it's hot! It's still like 65 out! And no snow :( Oh well, I can live through your blog!!
